Katy Woodroffe

Katy Woodroffe is an Australian artist who lives and works in Hobart, Tasmania. She studied at the Tasmanian School of Art in both Hobart and Launceston and completed her Master of Fine Art and Design at the University of Tasmania, Launceston

Her work has been exhibited widely within Australia and overseas. She has had sixteen solo exhibitions in Australia and one each in Bulgaria and India. Her work has been featured in more than twenty different countries internationally.

This year she was selected as a winner in the “Beholding Beauty” exhibition in Rome, where she was guest speaker at the Finissage.

Selections and involvement in international art residencies have been an important part of her evolving practice and these have been undertaken in various countries including France, Spain, Greece and India.

She has won many prestigious prizes and awards including the City of Burnie Prize in 2013 and the $12000 Tasart Award in 2012. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections both in Australia and overseas.
