Steve Slimm

Originally from the Black Country Steve Slimm arrived in Cornwall in 1970 via The Cotswolds.

Steve studied under John Miller in the 1970s and the two remained in touch with John being a major influence on Steve's artistic development.

Working in emulsions, acrylics and oils Steve now produces semi-abstract paintings that allude to the ever changing and inspirational Cornish climate and landscape.

Having become widely recognised as a Cornish artist of note Steve's work has been widely exhibited and collected. Acknowledgement of his creativity, technique and specifically use of light resulted in him being added to the national A level art syllabus in 2009.
